Sigubudu / Ungiyeza
Sigubudu / Ungiyeza is in the Royal Natal area.
Interpretation by Celeste Rossouw: This painting includes several animals, such as eland, mountain rhebuck and even part of a cobra (beneath the running eland). Bushmen legends relate that snakes were linked with rain-making rituals. Soft or female rain was interpreted as being soft and drenching, while male rain was expressed as storms, hard torrents and even hail.

Bushman cave drawings
In the late 70’s we found these drawings on a hike with the help of a ranger. In 2009 we returned to the same magical spot to find it much the same. An awe inspiring place.
