A good overnight spot if viewing the Bushman Paintings at Mpongweni North Shelter (100m away).
The cave/boulder offers relatively good protection from bad weather. Water is not found in winter or dry summer months and has to be carried up to the cave.
The views from Mpongweni North Shelter and a little higher at Mpongweni South Shelter are stunning. If you want to see many bushman paintings still in good condition then Mpongweni North Shelter is the place to visit, the hike up the hill is well worth it.
