Surprise Cave is in the Bushman's Nek area. The cave is 280m further up Lammergeier Pass from Lammergeier Cave. The cave provides reasonable shelter from the weather, has a small section at the back where about 4 people could sleep. It looks like the cave could be damp in summer.
No name had been given to this cave, hence Surprise Cave as when walking either up or down Lammergeier Pass you only notice the cave when right next to it, until then its hidden.
