Jarateng (Jarding) Pass is in fact three passes that are absent or unclear on most hiking maps. Out of the three, the southernmost route is easier conquered. They are located in the Giant's Castle area.

Jarateng/Jarding's Pass (Central)
Located in Central Drakensberg, the Central Jarateng Pass tops out high on the Southern slopes of Mount Durnford. It is most likely the easiest of the three passes as the northern and southern are rockier.

Judge Pass is a steep pass which calls for some rock scrambling. The path is very clear. It is located in the Injisuthi region of the Berg.

Keartlands Pass is located in the Monks Cowl area. It has some steep sections and the ongoing erosion has formed 'steps' which can be harsh on one's knees. This pass is not on the main escarpment.
