Tseketseke pass near impassable
I descended the pass two days ago with a friend who’s very experienced and had previously descended same but more than ten years prior. He didn’t remember it being in the state it is now. I’d say that it’s barely passable! Overgrown with path indiscernible over most of the worst sections. Had to retrace path after trying to get past a waterfall on the wrong flank but managed to climb out of the river on the edge of a near vertical cobblestone bank, passing backpacks up. Thought it would take 2hrs to get to the hut but took 4.5hrs. I definitely wouldn’t recommend anyone using this pass.
