Kambule Peak is in the Giant’s Castle escarpment country near the Jarateng or Jarding passes, between Mount Durnford and Carbineer Point. The peak forms part of a high ridge journey rather than a short walk around camp. Image from left to right, Katana, Carbineer Point, Kambule and Mount Durnford.

Explore the Giants Castle area: The Giant’s Castle area combines the Bushman’s River valley with open grassland and the high escarpment. The reserve is known for its hiking, birdlife and San rock-art heritage. Read our Giant's Castle Nature Reserve guide for more about the area and planning a visit.
