Drakensberg Vistas

The views from atop the Drakensberg Escarpment are difficult to convey in words and simple pictures. Remember, you have the wind, the silence - unless the rock baboons are shouting up at you from hidden crevices below. Light constantly changes as mists rise and swirl.

 

Now you see a peak - or a range - and now you don't. You are not always walking right along the edge of the Escarpment, so that is what makes those moments when you are, that much more special. These are the moments that stay with you for your life.
