Breathtaking Viewpoints
We had a very nice trip with James. He answered all our questions and knows a lot about Drakensberg and its history and nature. He tailored the hike to our level and took us to breathtaking viewpoints. We would definitely recommend a hike with James, we had a very nice day and enjoyed every second of it!

Wholesome and fun experience
What a wholesome, fun and unreal experience that was! James' knowledge and passion for the Drakensberg is unquestionable.

Best communication I've had with a guide and so helpful. Even the stupidest questions get the right/best answers haha!

Thanks for the experience James and we will definitely see you in the future!

Hiking with James
James is a highly qualified and dedicated guide. He always plans ahead of time and sends pertinent maps and information to his hikers. He is punctual, organized and leads with great knowledge of our surroundings.

Every time I go up on his weekend hikes, I am blown away by the beauty of the Berg, and grateful that I made it safely there and back.

Hike with James Seymour as our guide
We did a 6hour hike with James as our guide.

James was just amazing and without him, I do not believe that my mum, my dad and brother-in-law, my wife and 2 kids would have completed the hike to see 3 waterfalls up to breakfast stream.

His advice on what to wear, take along and guiding us all from 7h30 up the Berg and safely returning was truly special. Would love to do an overnight hike on the Berg with James again soon.

Hiking with James
We have been hiking on Saturdays with James Seymore for the past two years, and every Saturday is a new adventure with breathtaking scenery and proper challenges! James knows the Drakensberg well and is a well experienced guide.

We recommend him wholeheartedly.

Zulu Cave Hike
We did an awesome overnight hike with our guide, James, over the weekend of 17 to 18 February 2024, from Monks Cowl to Zulu cave.

I must commend James on his attention to detail regarding route planning and knowledge and the valuable advice he shared, with regards to the correct equipment preparedness and food provisions necessary to ensure we were not carrying unnecessary weight.

His knowledge of the area and his passion for the Berg was truly educational and interesting, especially in relation to the San Rock Art, as well as the fauna and flora.

His attention to our safety was comforting as well as the answering of all our questions.

It was an awesome experience and is highly recommended to any persons who love hiking, both novices and experienced hikers alike, who wish to experience the beauty of the Drakensburg and learn a bit about its history.

Saturday hiking group
We so enjoy our Saturday hiking group with James in the lead and others who
are keen for beautiful Berg hike. The hikes vary from morning / all day and
also overnighting in caves.

We are no sooner home, and the next hike is planned with all the details and
a map of our route.
