Bushman's Nek to Thomathu Cave

Thamathu Cave, also written Thomathu or Tomathu, is an overnight cave and day-hike destination above Bushman’s Nek. The walk follows the northern flank of Thamathu Ridge, climbing away from the valley into open mountain country.

The cave faces north-east and has room for up to 12 people. Its shallow overhang gives limited shelter, particularly in strong wind. Book an overnight visit with the reserve and carry suitable weather protection.
