Dragon’s Back is a ridge in the Monks Cowl area, seen beside the Champagne Castle massif. Our Champagne Castle via Gray’s Pass hike describes the surrounding high-mountain outing; the ridge is a landscape feature in its own right. Champagne Castle Peak on the left followed by the Dragon's back on its right hand side.

Explore the Monks Cowl area: Monks Cowl provides access to grassland, waterfalls and the mountain country of the Mlambonja and Mdedelelo Wilderness Areas. The camp is a base for both day walks and longer hiking trips. Read our Monks Cowl Nature Reserve guide for more about the area and planning a visit.
