Giant's Pass Peak is a smaller high point in the country around the western end of the Giant's Castle massif and Giant's Castle Pass. The main Giant's Castle summit lies farther east along the massif.
The peak, the pass and the main Giant's Castle summit are separate destinations. An itinerary that reaches the pass should allow separately for any onward summit walking and the return. The surrounding ridge is edged by steep escarpment slopes and gullies, so a pass route is not a guide to climbing every nearby high point.
Explore the Giants Castle area: The Giant’s Castle area combines the Bushman’s River valley with open grassland and the high escarpment. The reserve is known for its hiking, birdlife and San rock-art heritage. Read our Giant's Castle Nature Reserve guide for more about the area and planning a visit.
